What is CoolTone™?

CoolTone™, AVCMD’s newest body contouring treatment, tones, strengthens, and firms the abdomen, thighs and buttocks by targeting the muscle directly. This advanced non-invasive technology’s electromagnetic energy stimulates the muscles and creates involuntary muscle contractions in a way that is different from what you can achieve with normal exercise. This causes muscle fibers to become stronger, and results in a more toned and defined appearance.

CoolTone™ has been approved by the FDA and is a member of the CoolSculpting^® family.

What is “cool” about CoolTone™?

CoolTone™, like our favorite treatment CoolSculpting^®, is a body contouring treatment. Unlike CoolSculpting^®, however, CoolTone™ focuses on contracting the muscle rather than freezing fat. The two treatments would be a great pair for those looking to shed fat and increase muscle definition!

How is this different from other muscle toning technologies?

In independent studies, CoolTone™’s magnetic intensity was 50% stronger than other similar technologies. This means that there is potential for stronger stimulation and contraction of the muscle fiber, leading to stronger and more toned muscles. Additionally, while other technologies deliver 20,000 contractions in 30 minutes (the length of one session), CoolTone™ delivers between 25,000-30,000 contractions in the same amount of time.

What does the procedure feel like?

Like any other minimally invasive procedure, you may feel slight pressure during the procedure and some soreness afterwards, which will resolve rapidly. You will be able to return to your normal activities within a few days.

How many sessions will I need?

AVCMD offers CoolTone™ in packages of four (4) treatments at a time, which should occur over a period of two weeks, i.e. twice per week. Patients may subsequently come back every two to three months for maintenance treatments.

Is there any downtime?

There is little to no downtime after your treatment. The treated areas might feel sore for 24-48 hours after CoolTone™, but you can return to your regular activities as soon as you feel comfortable enough to do so!
